Character Creation

Here is a simple guide to creating new characters by a point system. The characters may later be adjusted as is required by what type of character it is. This is at GM discretion only.

Character Type: Determine what type of character you are writing up.
* Human - A person with no special powers or Statistics. There may be slight alterations but for the most part, they just are humans.
examples: Batman, Scarlet, Snake-Eyes, Tony Stark
- No Statistics may be above Remarkable in FASE
- No Statistics may be above Remarkable in RIP
- The character can have no 'powers' though certain enhancements may have been done to them.
* Altered Human - A human who was altered in some accident or experiment to have boosted Stats and Powers.
examples: Captain America, Hulk/Banner, The Thing, Mister Fantastic, Winter Soldier, She-Hulk
- Statistics may vary widely, depending on the character.
- The character's past 'change' is likely easily acquired as public knowledge with some effort.
- The character's powers can vary quite a bit.
* Mutant - A person who was born with the Mutant X gene and thus has access to altered Stats and Powers that set him/her apart from standard humans in some way.
examples: Professor X, Magneto, Wolverine, Marvel Girl, Cyclops
- Statistics can vary based on the mutation involved. None should be above Amazing.
- The character has the X gene, which can be 'sensed' by certain creatures and machines.
- The character's powers can vary quite a bit. None should be above Amazing.
* Robot - An android or cyborg of some sort that has technological reasons for Stats or Powers that differ from every day humans. This can also include body armored technological suits.
examples: Brainiac, Ultron, War Machine (suit), Iron Man (suit).
- The character's Statistics can vary quite a bit. If the item is a suit, the RIP Stats go off of the wearer.
- The character is very distinctive and cannot, without specific powers of espionage, pull off it is human.
- The character's powers are limited to what kind of android/robot it is but can vary in power.
- EMPs will work on these.
* Alien - A being not of the planet Earth or a being who was never human but is sentient. This would also include the 'young gods'.
examples: Thor and the Asgardians, Hercules and the Olympians, Wonder Woman, Superman, Martian Manhunter, Fae such as Nuada and Nuala, Venom, Carnage.
- Statistics can vary based on the race of the beings in question. Limits should apply based on those races.
- Aliens are clearly not human and often have a hard time fitting in, losing out on some human relations talents. Aliens also tend to look different from humans, standing out and their DNA will be notably not human, even if in disguise, unless they can mimic such things occasionally.
- Powers can vary among aliens but should be limited to the type of alien in question and what is available from the alien's homeworld.
* Other-Dimensional Being - This would be a character that may descend from another dimension such as planes of Heavens or Hells, Elemental Realms, or Lords or Order and Chaos, Death and Life and any of their assistants.
examples: Damien Hellstrom, Satana Hellstrom, Mephisto, Ghost Rider, Blackheart, Gaia, Modred the Mystic
- Statistics can vary wildly but tend to mirror abilities of those from where the being came from.
- These beings, similar to aliens, just aren't from around the region. Some may even be there to harm others greatly but either way, they stand out and tend to be rather feared, sometimes with great reason.
- Powers can vary but tend to be mystical in nature. These beings can also potentially be sent to their realms via magic.
Of course any of these choices may have 'alter egos' so this may be purchased later on.
___________________________________________________________________________________
After making your choice, you have 350 points to spend on the Character. All points are 1 per 1 point.
___________________________________________________________________________________
Statistics - FASE RIP
Fighting
Agility
Strength
Endurance
Reasoning
Intuition
Psyche
FASE = Health
RIP = Mental Health and beginning Karma.
Resources = 2 per every 1 point spent.
Popularity = You cannot spend points on this. This is a story line altering stat.
___________________________________________________________________________________
Powers
Powers cost 10 CP each to gain and then cost an additional amount equal to the rank you want them set at. For example: Flight costs 10 CP. To set it at Excellent Speed: You would spend 20 points (Excellent 20).
Certain limitations provided to powers may grant a character additional CP to spend on powers or some other area. Inquire if in doubt. An example would be that the character can only fly 3 times per day, which might grant back 10 points to be spent elsewhere as the player sees necessary.
___________________________________________________________________________________
Talents
Combat Skills, Martial Arts, Mystical and Mental Skills cost 10 CP each.
Skills such as sciences, academia, computers and mathematics would cost 5 CP each.
These Talents offer commonly +1CS to your rolls when they relate to the roll.
____________________________________________________________________________________
Contacts
You can choose to spend 5 cp per Contact (a person you know and can call on for aid) though each Contact should be cleared first to ensure it is plausible.
___________________________________________________________________________________
Spend the remaining points as you see fit or place them in Karma, as that can be quite useful.
___________________________________________________________________________________
Wrap up the character by giving it a superhero name, a real name and/or nickname. Describe the character's suit and appearance. Does the character have an occupation or 'day job'? Describe the person's history and equipment he or she would carry around commonly.
