Alien Groups and Species
There are various aliens in this game from multiple sources; way too many to actually list them all. These groups, whether they cross over from other sources or not, may be familiar with each other or on the verge of discovering one another. Space is vast so not all species are going to know about everything, but some species are very resourceful and have adapted quickly. Earth tends to rely on the Justice League Watch Tower and the Fantastic Four when it comes to space research and protection against alien threats.
Green Lantern Corps - This group assists various sectors with law enforcement and protection of those areas where they are permitted. They are led by the Guardians, a group of beings who instill power into those they choose, and there is generally one 'Lantern' per each sector of space. All in all, there are around 1500 members of the Green Lantern Corps, after the timeline merging.
Guardians of the Galaxy - A group that somehow gets some jobs done, though they are made up of various people that probably wouldn't get along if tensions weren't so high. They do actually help protect various people though their methods often are crude. All of them, except Star Lord, are aliens and this group has contact with Tony Stark and the Avengers.
Martians - There is currently one green Martian, which is J'onn J'onzz, that is known about. There are 5 white Martians known, one of which is Miss Martian, which tend to reside on the Watch Tower.
Yautja - These have been known to pop up from time to time. For many years they had hunted humans for sport but recently it was disclosed that the Yautja are two factions...one of which they call 'Killers' in their language. Why these two factions exist is a mystery but they are at war and one faction (the one that is not called 'Killers') has an uneasy truce with the Justice League and Avengers currently.
Xenomorphs - In space, on some worlds, there have been incidences with these frightening beings. Some aliens (and maybe even some humans) seem to think they can harness their power but such efforts generally end in tears.
Darkseid and Apokalips - Darkseid and his brood of followers that try to suck the life out of others about them and enslave several species, are about and operating in secrecy for the time being. It is expected they will make their moves eventually. Darkseid is responsible for the collapse of the DC universe timeline.
Galactus and his Heralds - Galactus currently has two Heralds: Silver Surfer and Nova. He roams about looking for worlds to drain to sate his enormous appetite. He does not eat 'dead worlds' though the type of life does not necessarily have to be super developed/sentient either. Sometimes this does happen though. There are only a certain amount of worlds with actual life on them, after all.
